REVIEW/"FI": MISSHA Line Friends Magic Cushion (No. 23) & UPDATE (Acne Prone Skin)

*Scroll to the bottom to see an updated review (w/ pictures)!*

When I heard the Line friends line came out form Missha, I immediately went to order it.
I was lucky to get a hold of one before it quickly sold out! I got it in the shade #23.
I purchased mine from Tester Korea, for a very reasonable price!
It comes with the cushion case (w/ the cushion foundation inside) AND
two more refills! What a great deal :)
The packaging was too cute and I have been waiting anxiously
for this to arrive! This review is more of a first impressions review~
Even the box is adorable–sorry for the low quality
of this picture ><

Ingredients (English)
Can't get over how cute the packaging is~
The puff has a monogram of the bear!
SMELL: Light smell, not bothersome
PRICE: Online for ~$10 (11,600 Won)! Such a great deal for
three cushions (one included + two refills)!
EFFECTIVENESS: Does what it is supposed to do;
medium to high coverage– buildable; matte!

Before                                                                  After

SIZE: Travel friendly, easy for makeup on the go.
About the size of the palm of my hand!

For those who want a shade comparison to another brand's shade no. 23!

UPDATE:

Right after application

After 5 hours

After 8 hours

I have tried this cushion several times over decently long periods of time, and have
come back to update you guys! When you first apply it, the coverage and finish
is almost flawless. Everything looks so good and you feel all ready to go.
That is until...
I noticed that after even an hour or two, the coverage started to fade a little.
I was quite disappointed because I wanted to like the product a lot because
of its first impression and cute packaging. Then I noticed it started to
cling to dry spots and made my face seem cakey. However,
my face did stay matte! Which is always a good thing (I have
oily/acne-prone skin). I wouldn't say it looked terrible by the end
of the day, it was decent. Good enough for school and a casual day out.
If you're looking for something to use on a first date/dance/concert/anything professional,
I would recommend you to use something else more long-lasting,
perhaps the Saem Perfection Tip Concealer? ><
(This was my own experience, remember I have quite a bit of acne scarring/active acne,
so the cushion might work better/worse on your skin!)

RATING: 4/5 Stars

PROS:
Cutest packaging for a cushion I've ever seen
2 refills included (very good value)
Medium-High Coverage
Buildable
Matte

CONS:
Not long-lasting (max. ~4/6 hours?)
Can cling to dry patchesafter a couple hours
Can make face seem cakey after a couple hours
Redness of face will show through the makeup after wearing it for a long time

RECOMMEND?:
I would recommend this product! I don't think I will repurchase,
but it is a good buy!

Thanks for reading~ Hope this helped!

    1. Hi~ This was more of a first impressions, but after trying it out a couple times, it applies very well but after a while, it starts to cling to dry patches/cake and wear off. It is still wearable and stays matte though!

  2. Do you recommend this for combo skin? I'm trying to decide between this one or the duck one!

    1. Personally, I would recommend this one over the duck one for combo skin! I know that the duck one is for moisture and more of a dewy look, so it might look oily over time. I prefer a matte finish so I would choose this one! If you like the dewy look, I would say go with the duck! :)
